Bio: Scott A. Puma is a partner at Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni and Krafthefer, P.C. where he has practiced law since 1998. Scott received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1990 with a major in Government and a concentration in Public Policy and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1993. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar and The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1993.

Scott represents a variety of governmental bodies, including cities and villages, park districts, fire districts, townships and school districts. He has also appeared before local governments as the attorney for the petitioner in various zoning matters.

He has represented municipalities in litigation in both the Federal and State courts. He has defended municipalities in tort, civil rights, annexation, zoning and contract litigation. He has also represented municipalities as plaintiffs in contract, zoning and real estate matters. He continues to supervise municipal prosecution for traffic, DUI and ordinance violation cases for cities and villages.

He has lectured on topics on general municipal practices and land use and the development process before elected officials at conferences, at legal seminars for attorneys and on legal issues at police training seminars. He is a contributing author to the Illinois Municipal Handbook, published by the Illinois Municipal League, and the Illinois Park District Law Handbook, published by the Illinois Association of Park Districts.

In addition to advising the firm’s municipal clients, Mr. Puma serves as City Attorney for Zion and Village Attorney for Round Lake Beach Spring Grove, Island Lake and Kirkland and as corporate counsel a number of Park Districts and Townships in Lake and McHenry Counties.

Scott and his wife, Lisa, reside in Crystal Lake with their children Hannah and Joshua.
