Bio: STEPHANIE A. POSEY is a senior associate with Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni & Krafthefer, P.C., and represents public sector management clients in all areas of corporate governance, including public finance, labor and employment, building and life safety code enforcement, intergovernmental relations and other regulatory matters.

Ms. Posey regularly appears before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the Illinois Labor Relations Board, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She routinely assists clients with such issues as day-to-day corporate governance, public finance, and personnel policy development and review. In addition, Ms. Posey serves as an adjudicator for municipal ordinance violations and assists local liquor control commissioners with liquor control hearings and other licensing matters.

Ms. Posey joined Ancel, Glink in September 2003. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at Ottosen, Trevarthen, Britz, Kelly & Cooper in Wheaton, Illinois and at the Chicago Board of Education representing various local governmental entities in all areas of general corporate governance, including public finance, student discipline, and labor and employment matters.

Ms. Posey is admitted to practice law in Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois as well as the federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law and earned a B.A. with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ms. Posey is an experienced speaker on board policy and procedure, budget and finance matters and employment related issues such as the Fair Labor Standards Act. She regularly conducts seminars for the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts and the Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts. She has also led seminars for the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Municipal League. Ms. Posey is a co-author of the “Budget and Finance Manual for Illinois Fire Protection Districts” and was a contributor to recent editions of the Illinois Park District Law Handbook and Illinois Municipal League Handbook.
