Bio: Ms. Pollastrini received her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2005 and shortly thereafter joined Ancel Glink. She concentrates her practice in the areas of township law, municipal law, library law and election law. As an associate attorney, she has represented numerous local government entities with a variety of legal issues and provides procedural advice on multiple topics such as the Open Meetings Act, parliamentary procedures, the Freedom of Information Act and other topics primarily for newly elected officials.
Ms. Pollastrini is active in numerous legal organizations and maintains membership in the Chicago Bar Association, DuPage and Kane County Bar Associations, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She serves as a member of two Committees of the Chicago Bar Association, including the Election Law and Local Government Committees, and most recently was appointed Legislative Committee Co-Chairman for the Local Government Committee.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Pollastrini spent five years as the Legislative Liaison and Office Manager of Senate President James 'Pate' Philip and nearly ten years as Public Information & Special Projects Manager to DuPage County State's Attorney Joe Birkett. Ms. Pollastrini has vast experience with municipalities and currently serves as Vice President of the DuPage County Regional Board of School Trustees. She is a past member of the Carol Stream Library Board and former Chairman and President of numerous political organizations within DuPage County. In addition, Ms. Pollastrini has served as campaign manager and coordinator for a multitude of local candidates running for positions ranging from legislative, county board, township, and circuit court judge.
