Bio: Jeffery R. Jurgens is an associate with the law firm of Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni & Krafthefer, P.C., which has offices in Waukegan, Crystal Lake, Chicago, Wheaton, and Batavia. He received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University (B.A., Political Science 1997) and his juris doctor degree from the American University Washington College of Law (J.D., 2000). While attending law school, Mr. Jurgens worked in the White House Counsel's Office. He also completed legal externships with various federal agencies and served as an intern for Congressman Ray LaHood.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Jurgens interned on Governor Jim Edgar's policy staff and worked for Republican legislators in the Illinois General Assembly for the State House of Representatives and the State Senate. He currently serves as General Counsel to the Illinois Republican County Chairman's Association where he provides training and advice on a variety of election law issues. He worked in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 2004 election for Bush-Cheney and the Republican National Committee and has also handled Election Day operation issues in the 19th Congressional District and in California.

Mr. Jurgens routinely serves as counsel to the Illinois Republican Party on special projects and is currently involved in preparing the Party's Election Day Operation plan. He has represented a variety of candidates across the state in petition challenges and issues concerning committee filing requirements.

Mr. Jurgens concentrates his legal practice in election law, working with municipal and township clients, and litigation matters. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, where he serves on the Local Government Law Section Council and of the Chicago Bar Association's Election Law Committee.
