Bio:
Mr. McTyre is a 2006 graduate of The University of Michigan Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University with a concentration in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Mr. McTyre's senior thesis at Princeton examined the role of state and local stadium authorities in the development of professional sports stadia. At the University of Michigan Law School, his coursework focused extensively on local government law, land use, zoning and real property law.
Mr. McTyre was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November, 2006 and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in January, 2007. Shortly thereafter, he joined Ancel Glink as an associate attorney. At Ancel Glink, Mr. McTyre has represented municipalities, townships, and park districts in a variety of litigation and corporate matters; he has assisted clients on land use, economic development, building and construction code matters, subdivision litigation, municipal lien litgation, and real property taxation matters. He also contributed to the authorship and editing of the
Township Officials of Illinois Laws and Duties Handbook, the sixth edition of the
Illinois Park District Law Handbook, and the Subdivision Law Chapter of the
Illinois Institue of Continuing Legal Education's Municipal Law series.
